WATER CONSERVATION

On 22nd March 2025, the world celebrated World water day. On this important day, the Indian government launched a campaign named Jal Shakti Abhiyaan – Catch the rain 2025. It was started under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. This project emphasises the importance of communities in the conservation of water.

The policy makers of Bharat must focus on several points for the conservation of water.

·    While making the policies on water, the policymakers must focus on the needs on every sector, such as industry, agriculture,  It , textiles, etc. Before making the policy, government officials must have to visit on the ground to know the real condition at the ground level.

·    The policymakers must have to focus on the vulnerable groups of India who are very sensitive towards water .

·    The policymakers must have to ensure about lesser leakage of water by various sewage systems. These waters split in very huge amount which disturbs the human beings as well as it becomes useless. The proper management of this water can reduce the dependency on the ground water.

·    Lesser fertilizer, insecticide, pesticides, etc. must be used in the agricultural field. After the proper irrigation these waters contaminated the groundwater by ensuring the reach of harmful chemicals there.

·    The policy should be made after considering the proper management of natural resources like trees, water, mountains etc.

·    The river joining project should be run very fast. This project will disturb the flora and fauna of various forests and  natural things but it will definitely create a better future by ensuring a negligible flood in flood prone area .

·    More and more plantations must be done to ensure the better raining.  The more raining will happen , the temperature of the earth will be under control . Otherwise the countries will see a huge rise in temperature within few decades, which will be life-threatening to us.

·    When the policymakers made policy, they must focus on the livelihood of the tribal groups whose life totally depend upon the JAL JUNGLE AUR JAMEEN.

Their suggestions will be more important to ensure the water conservation.

The controversy of latent show

What is the news ? About 2 weeks ago , one of the most popular show of you tube known as INDIA'S GOT  LATENT SHOW has been shut down and the members of these show were taken in the detention of police . Due to their arrest the whole society of bharat has been divided in two parts .

How the controversy started ?  The show which was popularly known as INDIA'S GOT LATENT  was inspired by the international Got Talent franchise and Kill Tony, featured a wide variety of acts, including singing, dancing, magic, comedy and others. This show was hosted by Balraj singh and a famous comedian Samay Raina . In this show many contenders participated and the winner will get prize money on the basis of total number of ticket sold in that show . Everybody was free to speak anything (abusive or non abusive words , vulgar comment on each other and also on parents etc. ) . Many talented persons also participated in this show . But in the 12th (last episode ) , which was chaired by Samay Raina,  Apoorva Makheeja, Asheesh Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahabadia and Balraj …. Many vulgar comments were passed by Ranveer as well as Apoorva which offended many peoples. They started opposing the vulgarity of this show and many FIRs were filed by many social media influencers. Due to huge pressure by opposition as well as party members, the Phadanvis government issued a notice to all the four judges to come and give clarification about the matter and present their opinions.  Last week Supreme court has also said that the comments passed by these you tubers will badly effect the society . Also the passports of these influencers has been taken by the government .

The division of society on this issue :

Indian society has been divided into two parts. Those who oppose this show say that the influencers are deviating the minds of minors and parents. Their statements can cause a huge decline in the mindset of young people. They are not following any code of conduct. That’s why this show must be suspended.

Another part of society are opposing the government. All the social media influencers including comedians and also of printing media are standing against the suspension of this show. They are saying that why should we take their statements as a serious note. We must see this show as an entertainment show not as a show which inspires anyone. The statements given by them are scripted and they do a lot of work on it , so we must respect their hardworking.

My opinion/Conclusion: Generally,  I don’t like to give opinions on these issues but according to me …. If the government is taking action on their statements I am with them . But a question should be asked to government that everything is in your hand then why should you not stop all these type of show for Indians.  Why are you targeting these influencers only? Why you didn’t ban on the pornographic content ? Why you have not stopped the Orchestra of Bihar which is totally based on vulgarity?

There are many questions to be asked from the peoples who are opposing it that they are very pious is their thoughts? Are they very sensitive so that vulgar comment of social media has badly disrupted their mind ? Does they watch the nudity on social media or not ? I believe that there will be silence in that zone .

And my question to those people also who are supporting the show members . Dear so called mature peoples if you child do such things (said by Ranveer ) will you support him or scold him ? I’d your child will openly abuse anyone or to you did you have courage to bear it? Will you reward him or punish?

Our society is trapped in many pros and cons but firstly we must have remove our impurities of mind then we have a right to comment anyone. We must have open to everyone but not in vulgarity but in sincerity , honesty and truthfulness.  We must have to deny these shows or talks which disturbs our society …….

Sailing into History: The Remarkable Navika Sagar Parikrama 2

Introduction:

In an era where gender equality is gaining momentum across various fields, the Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 initiative stands as a beacon of women's empowerment and resilience. This remarkable expedition involves an all-women crew circumnavigating the globe, showcasing the strength, determination, and capabilities of women in the maritime domain. Building upon the success of the first Navika Sagar Parikrama, this second voyage aims to inspire and empower women worldwide.

Background:

The Navika Sagar Parikrama initiative was first launched by the Indian Navy to promote maritime consciousness and encourage women to pursue careers in sailing. The inaugural expedition saw a team of six fearless women circumnavigate the globe on the INSV Tarini, covering over 21,600 nautical miles in 254 days. The success of this mission laid the foundation for Navika Sagar Parikrama 2, which aims to continue the legacy of breaking barriers and setting new benchmarks.

The Crew:

The heart and soul of Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 lie in its exceptional crew. Comprising two highly skilled and trained women officers from the Indian Navy, Lt Cdr Roopa A and Lt Cdr Dilna K, this team embodies courage, perseverance, and teamwork. Each member has undergone rigorous training and possesses a deep passion for sailing. Their journey is not just about navigating the seas but also about navigating through stereotypes and societal expectations.

The Journey:

Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 involves a meticulously planned route that takes the crew across some of the most challenging waters on the planet. Starting from the Naval Ocean Sailing Node, INS Mandovi near Panaji, Goa, the voyage was flagged off on October 2, 2024. The journey covers the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, passing through the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Horn. The crew also achieved a significant milestone by crossing Point Nemo, the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility, on January 30, 2025.

Point Nemo, named after Jules Verne's fictional character Captain Nemo, is the farthest point from any landmass on Earth. Located in the South Pacific Ocean, it lies approximately 2,688 kilometers from the nearest landmasses: Ducie Island, Motu Nui (Easter Island), and Maher Island off the coast of Antarctica. This remote location is so isolated that the closest human presence is often aboard the International Space Station orbiting above. The waters around Point Nemo are known for their extreme remoteness and minimal marine life, making it a unique and challenging point to navigate. The journey is not without its challenges, including extreme weather conditions, navigation hurdles, and long stretches of solitude. However, each challenge presents an opportunity for the crew to demonstrate their resilience and skill.

Empowerment and Inspiration:

One of the core objectives of Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 is to empower women and inspire future generations. By successfully completing this voyage, the crew sends a powerful message that women can achieve anything they set their minds to. Their journey serves as a source of inspiration for young girls and women, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, no matter how unconventional they may be.

Technological and Environmental Aspects:

Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 is not just about human endurance; it also highlights the importance of technological advancements and environmental consciousness. The sailboat, INSV Tarini, is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the voyage. Additionally, the crew is committed to promoting sustainable practices, including minimizing plastic usage and studying marine ecosystems along their route.

Impact and Legacy:

The impact of Navika Sagar Parikrama 2 extends far beyond the duration of the voyage. It challenges traditional gender roles and redefines what women can achieve in the maritime industry. The initiative's success will pave the way for more women to take up sailing and other unconventional careers, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and diverse workforce.

Conclusion:

"Sailing into History: The Remarkable Navika Sagar Parikrama 2" encapsulates a journey of courage, resilience, and empowerment. As the crew navigates through treacherous waters and defies societal norms, they leave an indelible mark on maritime history. This expedition is a testament to the boundless potential of women and a beacon of inspiration for future generations. The world watches in awe as these remarkable women sail into history.

The Chernobyl Disaster: A Dive into the World's Worst Nuclear Accident

source - Chernobyl

Introduction

On April 26, 1986, the world witnessed the most catastrophic nuclear disaster in history: the Chernobyl nuclear power plant explosion in the Soviet Union, now present-day Ukraine. The disaster shocked the world, exposing the devastating potential of nuclear energy when things go wrong. While the world has moved on, the shadow of Chernobyl lingers, serving as a haunting reminder of the dangers of nuclear power.

The Lead-Up: How Did It Happen?

To understand the disaster, we need to go back to the early morning hours of April 26, 1986. The night shift crew at Reactor No. 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant was conducting a safety test. The test's purpose was to simulate a power outage to ensure that in such an event, the reactor could safely shut down and cool without needing the main power supply.

But things didn't go according to plan. A series of errors were made, both human and technical. The reactor, an RBMK-1000, had a design flaw that made it inherently unstable at low power levels. The operators, unaware of these risks, pushed the reactor to its limits. When they attempted to shut it down by inserting control rods into the core, it triggered a massive power spike. Within seconds, the reactor's fuel rods began to overheat, and at 1:23:58 AM, two explosions rocked the facility, blowing off the reactor's 1,000-ton steel and concrete lid.

The Immediate Aftermath: Chaos and Confusion

The explosion released a massive amount of radioactive material into the atmosphere. Initially, there was confusion about what had happened. The plant workers and emergency responders were ill-prepared to handle such a situation. Many of the first responders, unaware of the radioactive danger, rushed to the scene without proper protective gear. Tragically, many of them suffered from acute radiation sickness and died within weeks.

The Soviet government initially tried to downplay the severity of the incident. It wasn't until radioactive particles were detected across Europe that the full extent of the disaster became clear. The city of Pripyat, home to the plant workers and their families, was not evacuated until 36 hours after the explosion. By then, the residents had been exposed to high levels of radiation.

The Evacuation and Exclusion Zone

When the order to evacuate Pripyat finally came, it was swift and abrupt. Residents were told to pack a few belongings and board buses. Most were under the impression that they would return home in a few days, but the reality was far different. Pripyat became a ghost town overnight, and its 50,000 residents would never return.

The Soviet authorities established an exclusion zone, initially a 30-kilometer radius around the plant, which has since expanded. This area remains uninhabitable due to high levels of radiation. Nature, however, has slowly reclaimed the land, with forests growing over abandoned buildings and wildlife thriving in the absence of human activity.

The Liquidators: The Heroes of Chernobyl

In the wake of the disaster, the Soviet Union mobilized over 600,000 workers, known as "liquidators," to contain the fallout. These included soldiers, firefighters, miners, and scientists, many of whom were exposed to dangerous levels of radiation. They performed various tasks, from constructing the concrete sarcophagus that encased the reactor to cleaning up radioactive debris.

The liquidators are often regarded as heroes for their bravery and sacrifice. Many of them suffered from radiation-related illnesses, and a significant number lost their lives. The exact number of deaths resulting from the disaster is still debated, with estimates ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands.

Source- Chernobyl

The Environmental and Health Impact

The environmental and health impacts of the Chernobyl disaster are staggering. The explosion released large amounts of radioactive iodine-131, cesium-137, and strontium-90 into the environment. These isotopes have long half-lives, meaning the area will remain contaminated for centuries.

The health consequences for those exposed to the radiation have been severe. There was a dramatic increase in thyroid cancer cases, particularly among children who were exposed to radioactive iodine. Other cancers, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health issues have also been linked to the disaster. The long-term effects are still being studied, and the full impact may not be known for generations.

The Sarcophagus and the New Safe Confinement

In the months following the disaster, a massive concrete sarcophagus was constructed to encase Reactor No. 4 and contain the radiation. However, this structure was hastily built and began to deteriorate over time, posing a risk of collapse.

In 2016, a new structure called the New Safe Confinement (NSC) was completed. This massive steel arch, the largest movable structure ever built, was slid into place over the existing sarcophagus. The NSC is designed to contain the reactor for at least the next 100 years, giving future generations the time and tools to eventually dismantle it safely.

The Legacy of Chernobyl

The Chernobyl disaster had profound effects on the world, both immediate and long-lasting. In the Soviet Union, it was a contributing factor to the collapse of the state, exposing the weaknesses of the government and its inability to manage such a crisis. The disaster also led to increased scrutiny of nuclear power worldwide. Many countries reevaluated their nuclear programs, with some scaling back or abandoning nuclear energy altogether.

In the years since the disaster, Chernobyl has become a symbol of the dangers of nuclear power and a focal point for debates about its future. The site itself has drawn interest from tourists, scientists, and even filmmakers, with the 2019 HBO miniseries "Chernobyl" bringing renewed attention to the disaster.

The Human Cost

Beyond the statistics and the environmental impact, the Chernobyl disaster is ultimately a story of human tragedy. The lives lost, the communities displaced, and the ongoing health struggles of those affected serve as a poignant reminder of the disaster's human cost. The survivors, known as "Chernobylites," continue to live with the consequences of that fateful day, many of them grappling with health issues, psychological trauma, and the loss of their homes and livelihoods.

Conclusion: Lessons Learned

The Chernobyl disaster was a wake-up call for the world. It exposed the dangers of nuclear energy and the catastrophic consequences of human error. While safety standards have improved significantly since 1986, Chernobyl remains a sobering reminder of what can happen when things go wrong.

As we move forward, the lessons of Chernobyl should not be forgotten. The disaster underscores the importance of transparency, safety, and preparedness in managing nuclear power. It also serves as a testament to human resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity.

In the end, Chernobyl is more than just a place; it's a symbol of the fragile balance between human progress and the forces of nature. And as we continue to navigate the complex relationship between technology and the environment, the story of Chernobyl will remain a crucial chapter in our understanding of the world we live in.

Exploring the beauty of Bhojpuri Cinema and its Struggles with Stigma

In the heart of Indian cinema, Bhojpuri film, renowned for its colorful storytelling and cultural depth, has a unique place. This cinema industry, which has its roots in the Bhojpuri-speaking districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, has overcome many obstacles to establish a distinctive niche. Nevertheless, in addition to its artistic merits and cultural relevance, Bhojpuri cinema has an enduring reputation that shapes public opinion in India and around the world.

Image is generated with the help of Canva AI Image Generator

64.1) The Cultural Richness of Bhojpuri Cinema

The 1960s saw the debut of Bhojpuri cinema with the release of "Ganga Maiya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo" (1963), a still-classic movie. Since then, the business has changed, resulting in movies that capture the sociocultural context of the Bhojpuri-speaking public. These movies frequently feature folk dances, traditional music, and rural life, offering viewers a glimpse into the traditions, practices, and beliefs of the area.

  1. Music and Dance: Bhojpuri movies are well known for their upbeat dancing and music scenes. The songs, which have their roots in folklore, include love ballads, joyful melodies, and devotional bhajans. The music is a major lure for spectators because of its catchy beats and moving lyrics.
  2. Storytelling: Bhojpuri film stories frequently center on themes of love, family, and societal problems. In addition to being enjoyable, these tales offer comments on the social mores and difficulties that the rural populace faces.
  3. Language and Dialogue: One noteworthy aspect of these movies is how well the Bhojpuri language is used. Proverbs and idioms specific to the area are frequently incorporated into the dialogues, giving them more authenticity and relatability for the local audience.

64.2) The Stigma Surrounding Bhojpuri Cinema

Despite its cultural significance, Bhojpuri cinema faces a significant stigma. This negative perception arises from various factors, including content criticism, production quality, and regional bias.

  1. Content Criticism: Bhojpuri movies are frequently condemned for the way they represent women and for having explicit and graphic material. Although it is true that some movies have used sensationalism to draw in viewers, this is not how the business is done overall. A lot of filmmakers work hard to create respectful, relevant entertainment that captures both human feelings and societal challenges.
  2. Production Quality: When compared to mainstream Bollywood productions, the budgets of the Bhojpuri film industry are comparatively smaller. The technical features of the movies, such as the editing, special effects, and cinematography, are frequently impacted by this financial limitation. But in spite of these constraints, it is important to honor the imagination and ingenuity of filmmakers who are able to tell gripping stories.
  3. Regional Bias: Bhojpuri film frequently encounters bias from reviewers and the general Indian public who tend to write it down as crude or inferior. This prejudice stems in part from the industry's rural beginnings and the perceived cultural divide between Bhojpuri-speaking areas and big cities.

64.3) The Path Forward

To address the stigma and enhance the perception of Bhojpuri cinema, several steps can be taken:

  1. Promotion of Quality Content: Filmmakers should concentrate on creating excellent material that appeals to a wider audience. The industry's perception can be altered by putting an emphasis on compelling stories, higher production standards, and respectful character representation.
  2. Talent Nurturing: Bhojpuri cinema can benefit from new ideas and advancements that can be brought about by supporting and developing young talent in acting, directing, and technical domains. In this context, film festivals and workshops devoted to regional cinema can be quite important.
  3. Digital Platforms: Expanding the distribution of Bhojpuri films through digital channels might increase their audience reach. With the ability to reach a worldwide audience, online streaming services can offer an alternative to conventional distribution channels.
  4. Cultural Exchange: Mutual respect and understanding can be fostered by promoting cultural exchanges between the Bhojpuri film industry and other regional film industries. Co-productions and partnerships can introduce a wider audience to the depths of Bhojpuri culture.

64.4) Conclusion

Bhojpuri cinema is worthy of praise and admiration because of its vibrant storytelling and rich cultural heritage. To move forward, we need to collaborate to produce excellent content, nurture talent, and open up to new distribution channels—despite the stigma and challenges associated with it. By using this strategy, Bhojpuri film may continue to flourish and spread its unique cultural narrative throughout the world, overcoming boundaries of place and preconceived notions.

Red Carpet of Dreams- Story of Nancy Tyagi

Nancy Tyagi, who is from Baranwa, Uttar Pradesh, became well-known for her videos in which she painstakingly mimics famous people's looks. She has recreated designer outfits worn by celebrities like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone for her portfolio. Among her pieces that are noteworthy are the Louis Vuitton gown that Padukone wore to the 2023 Oscars and the grey gown with puffed sleeves that Bhatt wore to the Red Sea International Film Festival from Miss Sohee's spring couture 2023 collection.

The 77th Cannes Film Festival saw fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi shine on the red carpet in a stunning pink gown with ruffles and a lengthy train. The dress, painstakingly made over the course of a month, has garnered appreciation from the fashion critic Sufi Motiwala and actor Sonam Kapoor.

Fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi, who is based in Delhi, made a dazzling appearance on the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival wearing a pink gown. She posted about her exuberant "dream come true" event on Instagram. She said in her comment that she made her own clothing, using her "heart and soul" over the course of 30 days, rather than purchasing it from a designer brand. "Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a newcomer feels surreal," said Tyagi. She shared a number of beautiful images showing her walk down the prestigious red carpet in addition to her remarks.

Popular beauty and fashion influencer Komal Pandey responded to her tweet with compliments, saying, "Nancy, your legendary status is a result of equal parts talent and hard work." We shall always remember this moment." Comedian and actor Kusha Kapila gushed, saying, "Your Cannes narrative is unmatched. Completely nailed it!" The actor Bhumi Pednekar expressed her appreciation for the tweet by raising her palms in response.

"I devoted thirty days, one thousand meters of fabric, and more than twenty kilograms of weight to the making of this pink gown. Although the travel was difficult, each moment was worthwhile. I'm living the dream, so full of joy and thankfulness for all of your love and support. I hope my creation impresses you as much as your encouragement has motivated me. Sincere gratitude to all of you!" The author of the content said.

Tyagi said on Instagram that the gown weighed over 20 kilograms and was made from 1,000 meters of fabric. It feels strange to walk the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a novice. I devoted thirty days and a great deal of energy to making this pink gown. Even with the difficulties, each moment was fulfilling. I am ecstatic and grateful beyond measure for all of the love and support I've gotten. This is the realization of a dream, and I hope my art shines as brightly as your support has inspired me. I sincerely appreciate that," she said.

It's impossible not to feel like we're all winners right now. It feels like a personal achievement, and she's done it with such grace. It's a dream come true for every small-town person," one user commented. Another said, "I've never been happier for someone I've never met!" "With your talent and dedication, Nancy, you truly are a legend. This is something that future generations will remember," said a third user. "Narratives such as these rekindle my belief in the efficacy of diligence and compassion. Definitely the most deserving of all," a fourth person said.

Heeramandi: The place of Courtesans

Heera Mandi, a location steeped in rich cultural history yet cloaked in mystery and controversy, is tucked away among the busy streets of Lahore, Pakistan. Known as the 'Diamond Market,' Heera Mandi is more than simply a red-light district; it's a centuries-old microcosm of art, tradition, and social mores.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the creator and director of the Indian Urdu-language historical drama television series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. During the Indian independence fight against the British Raj, the show centers on the life of tawaifs in Lahore's Heera Mandi red-light area.

59.1 The Shahi Mohallah

History-wise, Heera Mandi dates back to the seventeenth century. Initially known as the "Shahi Mohallah," or royal neighborhood, princes and nobility frequented there. Women from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan were brought to Heera Mandi during the Mughal era to entertain the royal court. These ladies received training in various arts, such as classical kathak, mujra, thumri, ghazal, and dadra. After they became proficient in these forms of dancing and singing, they were called tawaifs.

Tawaifs were respected, influential, and highly skilled in music, dancing, and other artistic mediums. They had autonomy over their lives and decisions, and they were financially independent.

Despite the Islamic prohibition against prostitution, Shahi Mohallah prospered under the Mughal emperors' favor. Delhi and Agra were the other two Mughal capitals, with Lahore being one of them. Its splendor was radiant, and Shahi Mohallah mirrored it as well.

The Mughal era saw the region achieve its pinnacles of prosperity and culture. But with Aurangzeb's death in the early eighteenth century, the Mughal empire began to decline. On January 12, 1748, Ahmad Shah Durrani and the Afghan soldiers arrived in Lahore, turning Shahi Mohallah into a center of prostitution. Up until Maharaja Ranjit Singh's takeover of Lahore in 1799, nothing changed.

59.2 The Love Story of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Moran

In 1801, at the age of seventeen, Ranjit Singh, a youthful leader of the Shukerchakias Sikh faction, took control of Lahore and declared himself the Maharaja of Punjab. The Maharaja was renowned for his military skill, but he also had a deep appreciation for aesthetics and the arts. It was Shahi Mohallah who caught his eye.

A few days before Holi in March 1802, Ranjit Singh learned of the existence of 12-year-old Muslim dancer Moran Sarkar from Shahi Mohallah, who was regarded as a "perfect model of beauty" and skilled in both singing and dancing. The Maharaja informed her guardians that he would pay them a visit in the evening while he was in the courtesan region.

Ranjit Singh was met in the evening by a tall, skinny girl who was wearing a long white shirt and tight churidar pajamas. Next, she presented him with a betel leaf that held a few saffron granules.

Moran started to sing and dance for Ranjit Singh, accompanied by six musicians playing instruments. Her graceful motions, rhythm, and slow, deliberate movements of her hands, arms, head, body, and feet were captivating when she danced.

The twenty-one-year-old Maharaja fell in love. Hari Ram Gupta, the author of "History Of The Sikhs, Vol. V: The Sikh Lion of Lahore," describes how Ranjit Singh began residing primarily in the "house of his beloved Moran."

"He stayed at the home of the dancing girl, Moran, who was his favorite. There, he was given his meals and other supplies. Moran was sitting on the same horse when he went riding with her during his morning workout. He did not allow any followers to go with him. In the level plain that lay between the fort and the river, he usually galloped full speed. According to Gupta, who quotes the Persian language work Ibrat Namah penned by the contemporaneous Ali-ud-din, "Ranjit Singh must have rejoiced most when Moran feared a fall and cried to the utmost pleasure of the rider."

But Moran's closeness outraged the Maharaja's aristocratic and devout friends, who mocked his social status and faith. However, Ranjit Singh's devotion to Moran was unwavering. She was raised from the status of a mere royal concubine when the Maharaja married her. He was called to Amritsar shortly after that to appear before the Akal Takht, the Sikh faith's highest temporal body. Maharaja complied. He was chastised by Akali Phula Singh in the public assembly for going against Khalsa social norms.

"The Maharaja stood contrite in front of the assembly after listening to his charge with humility. Again and again, he folded his hands and begged for forgiveness. Before the Panth, Phula Singh proclaimed that he must get one hundred lashes on his naked back. Without delay, the Maharaja removed his shirt. His hands were shackled behind his back, and he was strapped to the trunk of a tamarind tree that was located in an Akal Takht wing, according to Hari Ram Gupta.

The audience, however, broke down in tears as they could not watch their beloved Maharaja suffer the penalty. The Maharaja was released with only a single leash on his back after the Akalis acknowledged the popular opinion.

Moran was never requested to become a Sikh by Ranjit Singh. In Pappar Mandi, next to Shahi Mohallah, where Moran resided and had her own court, he also constructed a mosque in her honor.

Coins in her honor were made in both gold and silver. In these coins, she was called 'Moran Sarkar'.

59.3 Story of the name 'Heera Mandi'

With Ranjit Singh's victory over Lahore, Shahi Mohallah's social and cultural standing was restored. Afterward, Shahi Mohallah, a food market in the center of Lahore, was to be used as an economic center by Maharaja's prime minister, Hira Singh Dogra.

After being founded by Hira Singh Dogra, the grain market became known as "Hira Singh di Mandi," or Hira Singh's market, and eventually as "Hira Mandi." Nonetheless, many people thought the name was a tribute to the women of the area, who were admired for their unmatched beauty.

However, the cultural elements of Heera Mandi's traditional dance performances ended with the passing of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the British colonization of Punjab in 1849.

The British, influenced by the conservatism of the Victorian era, referred to both common prostitutes and sophisticated tawaifs (courtesans) as "fallen women," drawing no distinction between the two. This ultimately resulted in the courtesans' livelihoods being stripped of the dancing component and replaced with a covert sex industry.

Heera Mandi is barely recognizable from its former self. When the sun goes down, it functions just like any other market, but at night it transforms into a red-light district where women engage in the flesh trade. A maharajah's love for a prostitute may have forced him to marry her, but there are still a few unusual love stories coming out of Heera Mandi's shadowy lanes.

59.4 Conclusion

The cultural legacy of Heera Mandi has garnered attention once again in the last few decades. In addition to offering education and career training to the tawaifs' descendants, efforts have been made to resuscitate traditional dance and music styles. Festivals and other events showcasing the region's rich artistic past have been largely organized by organizations like the Lahore Heritage Club and the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop.

Heera Mandi still faces several obstacles in spite of her efforts. Social stigma, poverty, and illiteracy are still widespread problems, especially for the women and families living in the district. In addition, the advent of internet entertainment and the incursion of modernity have further sidelined traditional creative forms, endangering the region's cultural identity.

There is hope on the horizon while Heera Mandi struggles with the challenges of tradition and modernization. The inhabitants' predicament has come to light due to growing awareness and advocacy initiatives, which has sparked conversations about social transformation and empowerment. What is 5G?

5G is the fifth generation of mobile networks, succeeding the current 4G/LTE technology. It represents a significant leap forward in connectivity, offering faster speeds, low latency, and greater capacity than ever before. While 4G enabled the rise of mobile Internet and transformed how we use our smartphones, it is set to take this to a whole new level.

Key features of 5G:

1) Speed: 5G promises blazing fast download and upload speeds, reaching up to 20 gigabytes per second (20 GB/PS). To put this into perspective, downloading a high-definition movie that took minutes on 4G will now take mere seconds on 5G.

2) Low Latency: 5G dramatically reduces latency, the time it takes for data to travel from the sender to the receiver and back again. With latency as low as milliseconds, 5G enables real-time communication and supports applications such as remote surgery, autonomous vehicles, and augmented reality.

3) High Capacity: 5G networks can support a massive number of connected devices simultaneously, making them ideal for Internet of Things (IOT) applications and smart cities. It can handle more data traffic with greater efficiency, ensuring a seamless and reliable user experience.

Impact of 5G:

1) Transforming industries: 5G is set to revolutionize industries such as healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, and entertainment. For example, in healthcare, it will enable remote patient monitoring, telemedicine, and even remote surgery, thanks to its low latency and high reliability.

2) Smart Cities: 5G will power the development of smart cities, enabling innovations such as smart grids, autonomous transportation systems, and connected infrastructure.

3) Enhanced Mobile Experiences: 5G will provide users with faster download speeds, smoother streaming, and a more responsive gaming experience on their mobile devices.

Current 5G development:

1) Global Rollout: 5G development is underway worldwide, with many countries already launching commercial 5G networks. According to the Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), as of April 2024, there are 176 commercial 5G networks deployed across 72 countries.

2) Adoption Rate: The adoption of 5G is expected to accelerate rapidly in the coming years. By 2026, it is projected that there will be 3.5 billion 5G connections globally, covering approximately one-third of the world’s population.

Challenges and Concerns:

1) Infrastructure: The rollout of 5G requires significant infrastructure investment, including installing new antenna base stations and fiber optic cables.
This may take time and could be costly, particularly in rural and remote areas.

2) Security: As with any new technology, there are concerns about security and privacy. With more devices connected to the internet, there is an increased risk of cyber-attacks and data breaches. It is essential to implement robust security measures to safeguard against potential threats.

3) Digital Divide: There are concerns that the benefits of 5G may not be equally distributed, leading to a widening of the digital divide between urban and rural areas, as well as between developed and developing countries. Efforts must be made to ensure that everyone has access to affordable and reliable 5G connectivity.

Conclusion:

5G represents a significant milestone in the evolution of mobile technology, offering unprecedented speed, reliability, and connectivity. With its transformative potential, 5G will drive innovation and economic growth and improve how we live and work. While there are challenges to overcome, the promise of 5G is too great to ignore, and its impact is sure to be felt for years to come. As we embark on this new era of connectivity, the possibilities are endless, and the future is brighter than ever before.

Story of Sergei K. Krikalev

Sergei Konstantinovich Krikalev was born on August 27, 1958, in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia).

He graduated from high school in 1975, pursued mechanical engineering at the Leningrad Mechanical Institute, and received his degree in 1981, now at St. Petersburg Technical University (now called Baltic State Technical University).

After graduating from the university, he joined NPO Energia, the Soviet industrial organization responsible for manned space flight activities.

He enjoyed swimming, skiing, cycling, aerobatic flying, and amateur radio operations, particularly from space (callsign U5MIR).

He joined NPO Energia, the Russian industrial organization responsible for crewed space flight activities. He tested space flight equipment, developed space operations methods, and participated in ground control operations.

His mother wanted him to become a doctor, but Sergei was small, determined, and interested in pursuing his dream of cosmonaut.

When the Salyut 7 space station failed in 1985, he worked on the rescue mission team, developing procedures for docking with the uncontrolled station and repairing the station’s onboard system.

Krikalev was selected as a cosmonaut in 1985. He completed his basic training and was assigned to the Buran program, the USSR’s space shuttle, in 1886, but it was canceled in 1993.

He started training for the first long-duration flight aboard the Mir space station. Soyuz TM-7 was launched on November 26, 1988, with Krikalev as Flight Engineer, Alexander Volkov as Commander, and French astronaut Jean-Loup Chretien.

Krikalev returned safely to earth on 27 April 1989 after spending the next 152 days aboard Mir.

In April 1990, Krikalev started preparing for his second flight as a backup crew member for the eighth long-duration Mir mission, which also included five EVAs and a week of Soviet-Japanese operations.

Krikalev began training for the ninth Mir mission, which included training for ten EVAs in December 1990

Krikalev was selected as flight engineer, Commander Anatoly Artsebarsky, and British astronaut Helen Sharman by Soyuz TM- 12, launched on May 19 May 1991.

Krikalev is sometimes called “the last Soviet citizen.”

Krikalev was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, the Order of Lenin, the French title of L’Officier de la Légion d’Honneur, and the new title of Hero of Russia for his space flight experience

He also received the NASA Space Flight Medal in 1994 and another in 1998.

Asteroid 7469 Krikalev is named in his honor.

Krikalev regularly communicated with various amateur radio operators (hams) across the globe throughout his various missions aboard Mir. Krikalev and amateur radio operator Margaret Iaquinto formed a particularly lengthy relationship.

Krikalev and Iaquinto communicated successfully about personal matters and political affairs via packet radio for the first time in history between an orbiting space station and an amateur radio operator.

Krikalev was in space when the Soviet Union was dissolved on 26 December 1991. The Baikonur Cosmodrome and the landing area were located in the newly independent Kazakhstan, and there was a great deal of unreliability about the destiny of his mission. He remained in space, spending 311 days more than twice as long as initially planned.  Because Krikalev spent so much time in space, it caused him to be 0.02 times younger than other people born simultaneously due to traveling at high velocities and slowing down the clock. He returned to Earth on 25 March and is sometimes called scrutinized the "last Soviet citizen." These events are documented and examined in Romanian filmmaker Andrei Ujică's 1995 documentary Out of the Present. Krikalev's story also inspired the 2017 film Sergio & Sergei, directed by Ernesto Daranas.

He was awarded four NASA medals, the Order of the Rising Sun, 3rd degree (Japan) and he is an officer of the Legion of Honor (France).

Mr. Krikalev is a Member of the National aerobatic team and a World Champion and a European champion on glider aerobatic.

According to the media news, In 1991, veteran cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev undertook a routine mission to the Mir space station, unaware that he was on the edge  of viewing historic events unfold from the extraordinary vantage point of space but Krikalev's mission coincided with the Soviet Union's dramatic collapse.

As per the news outlet, this disturbance and turbulence  consequenced on a delayed return for Krikalev.

The extension of returning of Karikalev create lots of  challenges. Microgravity took a toll on Krikalev's physical health, leading to muscle and bone weakening. Social isolation and disrupted communication from a changing Earth added to the psychological strain.

Krikalev returned to a completely different world after 10 months and 5,000 Earth orbits. The Soviet Union was gone and replaced by newly independent states.

Sergei Krikalev's space mission wasn't just about scientific research. He became a global symbol of human connection during a time of political chaos.

According to BBC-quoted space historian Kathleen Lewis, Krikalev's down-to-earth conversations with people on Earth via the space station's radio fostered a special connection. Lewis said these radio chats created a network of informal contacts around the world, making Krikalev a popular figure despite the extraordinary circumstances of his extended mission.

The American Nightmare documentary: What happen to Huskins?

American Nightmare, which is now streaming on Netflix is a subject of true crime series. The three part documentary begin streaming on Wednesday.

Huskins and Quinn's both working as a physical therapist and used to about their grievous experience and how they overturned their life nearly decade ago.

The Vallejo Calif, was awenkend in the mid of night by armed intruders, drugged and purblind before huskin was kidnapped for two days and raped by holder.

Kidnappers demanded $8,500 to free the huskins, but huskins turn up at her mother's home at her orange countly.

Police didn't believe on Quinn when he called for 911 after freeing himself and she reappeared at her family's home.

Huskins and Quinn's story became a harrowing example of what can happen when the justice system fails the victim of crime.

Those months in between were unsustainable and we weren't able to go back to work," Quinn said. "Partly because of trauma and partly because they wouldn't let us. Who wants to hire a hoaxer? So that's a big challenge in the digital age. You can't move towns and get away from it. Anyone can just search you and then decide 'I don't want to work with this person,' or 'I don't want to hire this person."

"I don't know if I would've had the confidence to be able to return to work knowing that people would still think that I'm some con artist or hoaxer," Huskins said. "A big part of our job is putting our hands on people, quite literally, to help facilitate their healing. And a big piece of that is trust and how can you trust someone who lied about something so significant as a kidnapping? I'm not sure where we'd be."

Police didn't believe first on couple who informed about the intruders wearing scuba gear and came at home in the mid night and armed with taser guns and bound young couple.

Finally the authorities broke after the reappearance of huskin and heard about roughly a similar case 40 miles away linked with Matthew Muller, a former Marine and disbarred educated immigration attorney, to their kidnapping

The first two episodes of American Nightmare was narrated by Quinn and huskin relying how the huskin kidnapped in the mid of night and proceed couple of days with this story.

I remember being asleep and hearing a voice and thinking it was a dream," Huskins told ABC News. "But the voice kept talking and I just remember my eyes shot open and I could see the walls illuminated with a white light that was flashing and I could see a couple of red laser dots crossing the wall, and I could hear, 'Wake up, this is a robbery. We're not here to hurt you.' And in that moment, I just thought, 'Oh my God. This is not a dream.'"

The part one contained the content of kidnapping of couple and demand of ransom by the kidnappers. How the police didn't believe on them when he first call 911 and how he was monitored by intruders that his each moment is capturing in the camera.

If he informed the police, he'll lost his wife Huskins

Like many victims, or many people who have gone through tragedy, you don't get all the answers," Quinn said. "And that can be a sticking point to recovery. So for us, we don't rely on finding those answers, but what we have to do is move forward in the unknown and focus on things that matter the most to us, like our family, our kids, our work. Those are sustainable things. And having the answers of why they targeted us doesn't change what we do as far as moving forward."

You can go through any kind of trauma to where it leaves you devastated and in a place where you just think, 'This is impossible to move forward from. What do I do next?'" Huskins told ABC News of working through the emotional distress she and Quinn suffered. "I think ours is an example of that. There is hope. It might take time and it might be a lot of hard work, but there is hope."

Shapes of Truth for Responsibility

What’s right for you? What’s right for me? It varies from person-to-person. The last hearing for the case was going and judgment can prevail at any moment. One of the guards was responsible for the prisoners and was also held responsible for the death of prisoners. The accused lady was sitting in front of the panel of judges who were questioning her for the responsibility that she upholds very proudly. Her job was to guard the prisoners. She pursues her very affectionately. One of the judge questioned her that, “Why didn’t she unlocked the door?” Since she knew that if she didn’t open their locks they all would die as the flames was all over the village and even in the prison. She answered that, “She couldn’t let them escape, as it was her responsibility to not let them. It would have created chaos as it was snowing; bombs and the flame were seen all around the village. The screaming of the villagers can be clearly heard. It was so alarming and fast and if she opened the door then all the prisoners would rush out from there and she can’t let them escape.”

Judges reexamined her by telling her that other defendants have made allegations against her that, she was held responsible for that and she had made report. She was trying to convince the judges that it is not true. She was explaining them that she was just a guard and everybody made the report. But every other defendant was against her and making her the culprit for the entire incident. She tried to prove that she was not in charge of the prison but the signatures that she made on the report as in charge proved her wrong. She was explaining to the entire audience that was sitting in the court room who had prepared this conspiracy against her. She was just screaming her truth but nobody is interested in listening her wage arguments. The real culprit who made the false report of the incident was eagerly waiting for the verdict. The misleading information that was given in the report was the number of prisoners that were kept in the prison during that time. She was just performing her duty and had restored the orders that were given to her. She was a responsible woman who had made that decision when everyone was just fleeing from that area. The entire incident was to kill Mr. Saksham who was a prisoner as he could have opened the hidden secrets of the massive fire that happen in the corporate office in the town nearby the village.

The people who have died in the prison were prisoners not the victims. There death might be wrong but her responsibility is the truth. After listening to her and on the basis of the proofs that were present, she was sentenced to hang till death. So the justice prevails but the truth died. Everyone leaves the court. And everybody walks together.
