"He dreamt of serving the nation. He died before the nation could serve him justice."
🧠 Who Was Rajkumar Jat?
Rajkumar Jat was not a politician, a celebrity, or a criminal. He was a 25-year-old UPSC aspirant from Bhilwara, Rajasthan—an ordinary young man with an extraordinary dream: to crack one of India’s toughest exams and become a civil servant. He was intelligent, kind, and committed. His family, especially his father and sister, supported his aspirations with hope and pride.
But all those dreams were shattered on a single tragic day.
🛵 The Last Ride with His Father
On March 2, 2025, Rajkumar was riding a bike with his father when they were stopped by Ganesh Jadeja, the son of ex-MLA Jayrajsinh Jadeja near Rajkot, Gujarat.
Why were they stopped? Allegedly for "overspeeding."
What followed? A brutal altercation.
Eyewitnesses claim that Rajkumar was beaten mercilessly by Jadeja’s men. His father was also assaulted. Rajkumar vanished shortly after the incident.
🕯 A Week of Silence. Then, a Body.
For days, the family searched, pleaded, and begged the authorities to act. But Rajkumar remained missing—until March 9, when his body was found near Targhadiya Bridge, bruised and lifeless.
It took the police 24 hours to identify him, and the circumstances of his death were immediately deemed suspicious. Yet, no swift arrests were made.
📹 The CCTV Controversy
One of the most alarming aspects of this case is the CCTV footage. The police released only 2 minutes of video showing Rajkumar talking to Ganesh Jadeja. The rest of the footage, which might hold key evidence of what truly happened, is still withheld.
Why? That’s the question the nation is asking.
👩👧 A Sister’s Cry for Justice
In an emotional video, Rajkumar’s sister Pooja Jat demanded a CBI investigation, questioning why agencies like the Intelligence Bureau (IB) weren’t stepping in. Her voice shook with anger and grief as she accused the police of shielding the powerful and silencing the weak.
She wasn’t alone.
🧑🤝🧑 A Movement Begins
Social media erupted. Hashtags like #JusticeForRajkumarJat and #CBIForRajkumar began trending. Students, civil service aspirants, activists, and the Jat community united to demand a fair and transparent probe.
Even political leaders, including Bhilwara’s MP, echoed these calls in Parliament and media.
⚖️ Where Is the Case Now?
-
A formal CBI probe is still being demanded.
-
The Jadeja family has not been held accountable in any meaningful way.
-
Public trust in local law enforcement has plummeted.
As of now, the case lingers in silence—much like the justice that Rajkumar was denied.
🕊 Why This Case Matters
Rajkumar could have been any of us.
A student with dreams.
A son riding with his father.
An Indian citizen who trusted the system to protect him.
If power, privilege, and silence are allowed to bury truth in this case, what hope do ordinary citizens have?
