Bihar Elections 2025

The election in Bihar was announced by the Election Commission on October 6, 2025. On the same date the rules of Model code of conduct started. The political parties started campaigning for election to attain victory.  A 24x7 complaint monitoring system, including a Call Centre number (1950) and the C-Vigil App, has been activated to report violations, with 824 flying squads deployed to address complaints within 100 minutes.

The ECI has also mandated that public address systems be restricted from 10 PM to 6 AM. This service was provided by the election commission for the convenience of the peoples of Bihar. Many extra trains were started by the central government to provide their constitutional right to vote. It was the first time that an election was conducted without any type of violence. The election was held in two phases. The first phase was on 6th November while another phase was on 10th November.

The violence was only shown on social media platforms like X(twitter), instagram, face book etc. But many political parties were in confusion that elections can be won only by social media. Their confusion was cleared on the result day of the assembly election i.e. 14th November 2025. BJP and JD(U) lead NDA won 202 seats, Congress and RJD lead Mahagathbandhan (MGB ) won 35 seats, while others won 6 seats. This was shocking for most of the candidates who lost their seats. On analysis we found some flaws in losing side and some plus point of winning side which is mentioned below :

BJP  workers always are in election mode whether it wins or loses. They start campaigning before two or three years of election. In this election, a leader from Maharashtra was sent about 2.5 years ago to know the mood of Bihar. While MGB leaders were in overconfidence that they can win elections only by campaigning on social media. Only a few of them  worked  on the ground.

There was proper seat distribution among parties of NDA but MGB was always in confusion regarding distribution of seats. In 11 seats (9 were lost) congress and RJD were contesting against each other.

At the last moment, BJP transferred 10000 Rs in every account of ladies which were mainly household. This played a very important role in winning the NDA. Maximum votes obtained by NDA belonged to women.

Many prominent leaders of BJP campaigned in election rallies, while MGB leaders were not so interested in it. They were mainly doing press conferences, impossible promises instead of convincing voters.

There were  many more reasons which can be mentioned but important analysis has been given above . NDA has got an unexpected majority.  So people are expecting a way towards VIKSIT BIHAR.They want the name of Bihar to be taken with huge respect.  And MGB can focus more on ground including social media. It will be better for them and people of Bihar also.
